Evidence-Based Practices

Welcome to Healing 1121! During our time together, we will collaboratively explore various therapeutic approaches to identify the most effective methods for you. Our goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges and work towards achieving positive health and well-being outcomes. I will support you in gaining insight, developing coping strategies, and fostering personal growth tailored to your unique needs and aspirations.

These sessions may include

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • EMDR

All aimed at empowering you to lead a healthier, more fulfilling life.

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

I will use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore your feelings about change. Our sessions will focus on understanding your goals and any hesitations you might have.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

In our work together, I’ll help you identify patterns of thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to how you're feeling. We’ll work on challenging negative or unhelpful thoughts and practicing new, healthier ways of thinking.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

During our sessions, I’ll teach you skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy to manage intense emotions and improve your relationships. This includes mindfulness exercises to stay grounded, techniques to regulate your emotions, and ways to communicate effectively with others.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

If we decide to use EMDR, I will guide you through a process where we focus on specific upsetting memories while engaging in guided eye movements or other dual attention exercises.
